i m fr dabhol, tal-dapoli. i completed my graduation in mumbai. mba fr usa & ebm fr uk & now based in dubai. but my heart is in konkan villages. the aroma of fields, sweet fragnance of salty beaches. i remember my childhood w/o elec. & friendly relations with mosquitoes (sleeping together under nets) fishing & collecting kajus/ramphal/mangoes in day hrs & robbing coconuts with my frnds at night. ships like kokan kanya used to sail fr bhav dhaka (mazgoan) to dabhol & by launch boat upto govalkot meeting relatives. my mom is fr anzenwel, tal-guhaghar. i love my kokni speaking way & honour of our culture in sufi (srva dhrma smbhava) traditions. this is my 1st visit on this site so pls send me photos of our konkan (my hearty request to all frnds) & my good prayers 4 all of u.

when i was watching these pics…….one person from south kokan was sitting beside me. 60 years old Mr v.p sagwekar from devgad katta……….he used to tell me about kokan and its beauty but i was not beleiving, now after watching your pictures i came to know what exactly kokan is…………thanx a lot …….i definitely will plan a trip to kokan.,……..this is uday katkar here…i m from kolhapur.
